Safelayer is participating in the SEGUR@ - Security and Trust in the Information Society project sponsored by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI). The project began in July 2007 in response to the third call of the CENIT Program, which forms part of the INGENIO 2010 initiative, and will run for three and a half years.

More than 20 companies, universities and research centers are taking part in SEGUR@ with a combined budget of more than 31 million Euros to achieve the goal of generating a security and trust framework for the use of the ICTs in the Information Society in Spain.

Safelayer's role entails defining ontological models for the different security mechanisms: authentication, authorization, integrity, confidentiality and non-repudiation, directing its research toward a new generation of digital signatures. This work has given rise to various publications and web applications that can be tested in the Demos section.
