In the Future Internet and Internet of Things, ubiquitous computing is the central paradigm. In these scenarios in which everything interrelates, it is almost impossible to predetermine global and static models or norms as the things will change dynamically depending on the environment and context in which they occur. The new models will be more centered around the user, data, ambient and context; the analysis of all this information will determine if a given action or transaction is possible. Security and trust, as any other type of information, will depend on the user, data, ambient and context.
Without a doubt, the complexity of these scenarios makes the use of semantic technologies and intelligent methods extremely suitable for information handling. Not surprisingly, Ambient Intelligence is another paradigm of the Future Internet and the Internet of Things, although Safelayer's focus is, of course, security and trust.
